Good Afternoon to all my Diabetic friends and family here on the DC.

I want to share with everyone a website. I recently purchased products from this company at my local grocery store and love them and they have helped me loose 4 lbs in the last week since I stared using some of thier products. I recenly wwent to my doctor my ne doctor and I am trying to get put on an insulin pump, so I had to go through the classes as I am old school diabetic of 33+ years and did calorie counting change that to points and then exchanges. I now have to do carb counting so that we can get a carb to insulin ratio as that is how the pump will get set.
So After my class, I went to the grocery store and started looking at the products that I use on a daily bases that were not breads, pastas or startches. Wow is all I could say about how many carbs were actually in some of the items that I eat daily that were not in any of the above catagories, so then I started going up and down iles looking at all kinds of different products by different manufacturers and I came across this one and purchase a few of thier products to start to make sure they were not going to be yuck and gross tasting. I bought a jelly, peanut butter spread, ranch dressing in individual packet and a carmel dip. I wa so happy when I try each and every one of them at how good they actually taste. The good news on all of these products are they are sugarfree, calorie free, fat free, carbohydrate free, gluten free and cholesterol free.

This company makes all kinds of products, marshmellow whip syrups all kinds of stuff. I encourage all of you to go to thier website and check it out, you can even order directly from them online if you can not find them in a grocer near you.

I use their salad dressings and their Maple Syrup - yes MAPLE SYRUP !!! My favorite dressings are Thousand Island, Creamy Bacon, Italian. Their Chocolate Syrup is great too. Info is on their website. At my store there is a product called Carbquick also - makes great pancakes with 2 grams carb per 2 pancakes. Heavenly with the Maple syrup (try it on greek yogurt people - NUMMY

Is the Carbquick also made by the same company or a different one. I am going to be on the hunt for that. I bought thier Blueberry Syrup it is yummy. I like thier ranch and the Raspberry one they are great. I don't use much mayo but I will get some for when I make chicken salad or tuna salad or whatever.

go to www.carbquick.com . You can use it for pancakes, biscuits, pizza dough etc, It is its own company. I have ordered Walden Farms on line and was very impressed. Didn't care for the Jellys and peanut butter stuff though lol but the ones I mentioned were very yummy and don't affect my blood sugar at all. For mayo I use the Hellman's low fat. I make extra pancakes and freeze for breakfasts. Lasts well in freezer.

I went to the website but couldn't find any of the nutritional information. I don't know how they can be calorie free, carb free, gluten free...etc. Is there a place on there where they list that information?

Wouldn't you know I did the store locator and the store that carries it is out of business. Gonna ask the store where I shop to see if they will start carrying them. I want to try them.

If they won't carry them you can order them directly from Walden Farms.

I know but it is just as easy to ask a store to see if they will stock them.

I don't look at it like that. I don't see the products as being just for diabetics. Anyone who wants to eat healthy. Will let you know what happens.

Walden Farms products are gluten free, also. I buy them for that, and they are also low or no carb, low or no sugar, and no added fats. The salad dressings are good for marinades too.

Yes they are, The Blueberry and Strawberry syrups are great. I tried those tonight. They even sale boxes with indivdual packets in them so you can take them with you. I have found several restraunts that do not carrie sugarfreed syrups or even lite salad dressings so I eat everything plain or don't eat at all when we go out. Iam glad I found these because now I can carry them with me.

Hi margo; long time since we last talked…how have you been? Anyway, I'm so glad these products are working for you. You seem 100% convinced…worth looking into for me. I never have heard of these products before and I'm very sceptical type of person. I've learned to be that way. Will let you know what I find, okay…

what ever floats your boat. the first ingredient on most all of their products is water, so not a lot of 'real food' there and pretty much no nutritional value. if you are okay with sucralose , guess these would work.

No the first ingredient on most of thier products is not water but you can say and think what you want. For those of us serious about our diabetes and our health we do what is best for us. So yes, this floats my boat and I will keep using them and trying other products that they make that I have not tried as of yet which are many.

my apologies if I offended you, it certainly was not my intention. We certainly can have different ideas as to how we nourish our bodies.
I was only basing the fact that water is the first ingredient in every product's nutrition info (even the ketchup) as listed on the site you linked.

accrding to labless on the products Iam buying water is not even close to the first ingredient. the Ketchup Icould care less about, never liked ketchup and never use it. Look at the jellys, peantbutter spread, things that are more substancial. I ujst think it is sad when people post things that make something sound like it is no good for anyone when they have not actully physically went and looked , checked out or used any of the products, like they kow what is best for everyone. Ido take offenseto it and am sorry if tha sounds hash but being diabetic for as lond has I have been you know not on singe diabetic is alike, not one single type 1 or type 2. Each person is thier own person each person reacts to things differentad just because one person likes something doesn't mean everyone will. Iwant to let everyone kno about te products a this is what we do on this site is help one another and tell one another about new products or products that we have found. am very sensative when it comes to remarks about things like this when itconcerns diabetes.

here is the "nutrition" label for the peanut spread. http://goo.gl/8DcCUU (ingredients are listed in order of predominance)

I am very interested in no carb/no cal/no fat products so I did go to their website to investigate the products. I looked at the ingredients and nutrition info on every single product … something I am suggesting that any one considering trying them do as well. if at that time they want to give them a try (as you pointed out everyone is different) go for it.
as far as trying them, I will pass. but glad you enjoy them.

Howdy Margo

Yes I am familiar with the Walden farms brand. I believe I used to use one or more of their products when I was with my "Jem" in CA. Lost track of them when I moved back to LVNV. Thanks for sharing!

God's best!

I went to their web-site and plan to look more into these products. They have quite a large combination of products. I only hope they can do what they claim and make all these things really free of virtually everything. Almost seems to good to be true.

I thought that to when I first bought them, but my blood sugars have gotten better and I am loosing weight. From someone that has been diabetic as long as me I have tried a lot of sugar free things through all the oldest and newest forms of sweetners and have to say a good number of those were disgusting. Theses I really like.
