Feeling really good about the A1c result I picked up today. Since 3 months ago, it has come down from 8.5 to 6.9!! Know I still need to go lower but was shocked that it had come down that much. Told the Doc about this Forum and all the info / tips and support I was picking up…i.e. Glucocil and Glucosolve, Mediteranean Diet, etc. You all have been a great help to this Newbie learning how to live with Diabetes. My BS numbers are still in flux (can't always understand why) but it has been a fairly steady downward path since I've been watching it. Lowest reading was an 88 but have had several in the low 90s. Anytime it starts heading for 200, I start walking, drinking liquids and eating Brocolli. Have lost 11 lbs but seem to have hit another plateau. Another question: some of these links don't seem to work. Is DC maintenance happening?

That sounds great and you are on track. Great Job! Being consistent is the key and it seems that even when you hit bumps, you keep on going and that is the best thing.

I don't know if the team is doing maintenance. What links are you having trouble with?

Re: site maintenance…I emailed them but haven't received an answer back. It could be I've inadvertently hit the wrong button somewhere but don't know. I cannot get the Menu to drop down (so I can't log out once I've logged in). On the page where you post your A1c and Blood Gluclose, it won't let me do that. Several other instances but it's usually where some box is suppose to drop down giving choices. Any ideas?

I can try to help you with this. Can you let me know what browser you're using? And what version of the browser?

Thanks John C., using Firefox 28.0. Also wondering if it has anything to do with the fact that I keep getting messages that Javascript is not enabled. When I follow directions to enable it, it says it IS enabled. Do drop-down menus have something to do with Javascript? You can email me if it's a long explanation since this is rather off topic and not of interest to everyone.

Yes, definitely, the dropdown menus are done with javascript. It sounds like perhaps it is disabled. I'll check with our tech team to see if they have any suggestions.

So just to follow up. Our tech team has recommended clearing your cache and your cookies and restarting the browser. If your javascript is enabled, the menus should be working properly.

Don't know why, but this morning my menus dropped down. Even my Log Book is working and I was able to post my A1c good news. That daily Blood Sugar tool is going to be a great help in keeping an eye on my averages…even tho I don't test 7 times a day. Do the rest of you test 7 times a day?
