A few months back before I got healthcare through my job I was not on medications and my blood sugars were running so high I was getting back to back skin abscesses (MRSA)

I haven't had one since I've been medicated, but I woke up out of a dead sleep 2 hours ago with pain in (groin area) and after an hour I now have a formed raised skin abscess. I also am having extreme thirst :(

I missed a lot of time at work due to my skin abscesses back before I was medicated and now I literally can't miss another minute until my doc fills out my FMLA paperwork and then that has to be approved by my work… But I know once I have this thing drained I'm not going to be able to walk for a day and will have constant pain.

Its a bad day already and its only 6am.

Howdy Soul
I used to have "boils" for a while when I was a teenager and in my 20s.

One of the things I learned to do was when I felt one coming on, and while it was in the pimple stage I would rub it very hard, putting as much pressure on it as I could. It would go away after that. I haven't had another one since. (about 40 + yrs now)

You said that those skin abcesses are MRSA. Had a MD told you they were MRSA? (Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus)

Sorry that you have the boil since I do remember the pain of having them.

Praying it goes away quickly

Yes they cultured them the first 2 times I had it and its MRSA… :( once they start forming I have to get them drained ASAP.
