Kay, I started using it when my wife "Jem" was alive. I looked for something which her GERD stomach would tolerate. it would not tolerate splenda, aspartame, saccarine, or the sweeteners made from Stevia. I found it in a discussion here on DC about 3 or 4 yrs ago, and I sent for some. She liked it since it tasted like sugar.
