I had a lumbar tap recently (ouch) and an MRI of neck and head, and spine, and they said that my basic myelin protein level was way to high. The average is supposed to be: 000.01 and mine is 2.4, and now I have to see a specialist in Neurology. He specializing in diseases such as Multiple Sclerosis, Addesons disease, Parkinsons' disease and more. So, I have been fighting with pain and symptoms for almost 2 years, and that is why I am in wheel chair now, and hopefully they will finally have an answer. Doctor reviewed all my test results for past 2 years before making the appointment. Thinks he can help. SO Can any one give me any advice or heads up before I go? Also my liver functions were high and
also showed a white matter particle (on MRI) on my right parietal lobe of the brain. Alright, yes, I am scared. My mom had dealt with similar problems after she had been treated for diabetes for a couple of years with insulin therapy. But, they were not able to properly diagnose her. The doctors were very distraught, I just hope they know more now.
