I had a lumbar tap recently (ouch) and an MRI of neck and head, and spine, and they said that my basic myelin protein level was way to high. The average is supposed to be: 000.01 and mine is 2.4, and now I have to see a specialist in Neurology. He specializing in diseases such as Multiple Sclerosis, Addesons disease, Parkinsons' disease and more. So, I have been fighting with pain and symptoms for almost 2 years, and that is why I am in wheel chair now, and hopefully they will finally have an answer. Doctor reviewed all my test results for past 2 years before making the appointment. Thinks he can help. SO Can any one give me any advice or heads up before I go? Also my liver functions were high and
also showed a white matter particle (on MRI) on my right parietal lobe of the brain. Alright, yes, I am scared. My mom had dealt with similar problems after she had been treated for diabetes for a couple of years with insulin therapy. But, they were not able to properly diagnose her. The doctors were very distraught, I just hope they know more now.

I can certainly understand your fear and concern. Let's pray that the doctors can quickly get to the root of things and get you back on the road to feeling better right away. Pinning down the problem is a big part of the battle, and knowing what's going on is better than just sitting and worrying about what "might" be the problem. You know you're in my prayers. When is your next appointment? Do let us know what's going on.

I will be praying for you. My mother was diagnosed with Addison's Disease when she was 35, she is now 72 and going strong. I talked with her and she does not remember any of these symptoms. Thank God for modern medicine and I pray they discover what is wrong with you very soon. I sure hope you get better and again, you will be in my prayers. Take care of yourself, Angie

I don't know anything about this, but it all sounds so scary. I will be praying for you my friend. May God bless a hold you in the palm of His hand.
