Had my first check-up since DX 12/13/13.
A1c down to 5.5 from 6.4.
Weight down 22#, fasting BG down to 116 from 137.
I am soooo…happy. The best thing I did was get a meter and start testing even though my Dr. said I didn't need to check. I'm learning what foods work and don't work AND how important exercise is.

That's great keep up the good work,I have been walking on the treadmill for 4 weeks and I feel great and I lost 5 pounds,but the scale I have say one thing and my doctors say something different but I still feel great anyway and I have fun.
So keep it up and keep me posted:):):)

Congrats!! I'm so happy for you.when I started exercising and losing weight, my A1C was better 3 months later, all my cholesterol levels were much improved.
