Hi, I just wanted to say hello as I have just joined the community. I am a British guy 43, living in Singapore for the last 11 years. I had an operation recently and it revealed that I was type 2 diabetic. Very high level at 23.
Just getting to grip with lifestyle changes and the meds. I cycle run and swim every week, and eat healthy as a vegetarian, don't smoke etc. so I am in a bit of denial at the moment, cheers.

I pray you get over your "denial" soon. coming here frequently may help you with that,

You may be aware that we do not use your way of measuring your Blood Glucose (BG) the mmol/l metric. Most of us here are in the USA and here we measure our BG levels using the mg/dl metric. There is a tool which you may wish to use to make the conversions between the two metrics ~ You may wish to bookmark this so that you may make better sense of our BG numbers.

God's best to you and yours

Hi, I did the conversion and it says 414mg/dl which must be quite high and I was put on meds straight away. 4 days in my 2 hour post breakfast was down to 216mg/dl cheers Alan
