So for the past year and a half, my a1c has been ranging from 9.0-12.6. It's awful, and my only real problem is the number of times I check my bg. I've tried alarms, remembering doesn't work, and I've been stuck in this problem so long it's now become a habit, to go so far as that some days I don't even check once. Any tips?

Why are you assuming that your high BS is the result of not testing enough ?
If you did test more then what would happen differnt than what is happening now ?

Howdy anon

What happens when an alarm goes off? What do you do which makes it inadequate for a reminder?

I ride a paratransit bus. I set the alarms on my cell phone 10 mins ahead of the arrival time for the bus. I haven't missed a ride yet when my alarm is set that way.

It is EXTREMELY important for you to set your cell phone alarm and then when it goes off, you drop what you are doing and test your BG IMMEDIATELY!

God's best to you and yours
