Just wondering, as a type 1 diabetic, and since my employer doesn't offer health insurance. What insurance companies will work with diabetics and pay for their medications without charging an arm or a leg? Thanks.

Howdy Kehi

With the advent of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA aka "Obamacare" There are no longer preexisting conditions, and all healthcare insurance companies are pretty much restricted to offering the same kinds of plans. So there is not a lot of competition out there.

Unfortunately for most middle class Americans who work for a living (that is those who still have a job) The PPACA is not very affordable. High insurance premiums coupled with high deductables pretty much make health insurance out of reach for many folks. You can go to ~ https://www.healthcare.gov/ to check for yourself.(what happened to the $2500. average savings over the then current health insurance rates?)

You can also decide that those high prices are not for you and choose one of the options listed here ~ http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Government/2013/... .

I pray you'll find a good solution for your concern
