Anyone know any good smoothie recipes for meal replacements?
Recently a friend of mine gifted me a full Nutribullet set when we got into a discussion about my Type 2 Diabetes and how I'm trying to lose more weight. Today, especially since it's Ash Wednesday and I can't eat meat, I figured I'd replace my lunch with a simple low carb smoothie. How'd I do?
-5-6 frozen strawberries, (unsweetened natural etc)
-1 scoop chocolate protein whey powder (it's low carb kind)
-Water
-1 Tbsp of natural peanut butter (unsweetened etc)
-A little bit of the Nutribullet branded "boost" powder (no carbs or sugar from what the label said)
Blended, and had for lunch. Usually I throw in some spinach or kale as well, (may experiment with cucumber or carrots and see how they do!) but not this time. Does this seem pretty low carb? I remember blueberries and strawberries were fairly low in carb count last I had checked, and since I'm not using milk or even almond milk, just plain water, it kept the whole thing pretty low.
Anyone have any good recipes of their own for Diabetic smoothies?

smoothies or juicing breaks down the food allowing your body to get the glucose from it faster. I would be careful of it.
I don't know any smoothie recipes, I do the juice machine. My husband and my favorite is 2 oranges, 2 apples, 4 carrots and a stalk of celery. I then use the pulp to make muffins.
Everyday i do chocolate muscle milk (light) with a tsp of almond butter & ice keeps me filled!
I love cucumber, mint, lime and ice. I throw in a little truvia sometimes, but its very refreshing.

Hi James. I just clicked on your link here and liked what I saw. I must use my kindle to get to DC so I couldn't save that site. There was a Facebook sharing sign which I used and it took me right to a place on Facebook with all the recipes and info. I WAS able to save that for myself. So I thank you very much for the link.
