I know some can't eat them, they spike too much, but the ones I eat have 8 grams fiber only 26 carbs, but you can "subtract" that 8g so the carb count is low!! They have 5g protein and only 100 calories for one, so I have rediscovered how much I like them and how good some brands can be for us. I know some can't have wheat gluten, etc..but for those who can, just wanted to share, as just another thing that you can check out.

I am one of those people that can't eat some of these carbs. I was told to cut back on all of my carbs. especially now! So please eat one for me…

Be careful with the fiber game. Actually you can only subtract half of the fiber number (4) and that is only if the total fiber is over 3 grams. So it's not a low carb as you may think. However, if it treats you well and you enjoy them....go for it.

You're right Gabby that the current recommendation is to subtract half of the fiber from the total carbohydrate. That's because fiber is the part of carbohdyrate that is incompletely digested. Often foods that contain more fiber are digested more slowly, which helps avoid a spike in blood sugar levels. Plus eating more fiber helps prevent some types of cancer and improves overall cardiovascular health. I'm always excited when people discover a new food, or a food new to them, that fits into their healthy lifestyle! ~Lynn @Glucerna

my BS is okay with one of these, must be because of the 8g fiber. I will try mini pizza idea too. speaking of pizza, I saw a good recipe recently for crustless pizza. I know I can't imagine that being as good ,but will try it.

I know they taste great, not sure of how much they would spike my bg. I'll have to give it a try. If it spikes me excessively, then my wife will gobble them up! By the way, not in one sitting, wouldn't want you to have the wrong image of her.

I love English Muffins. We use to make mini pizzas with them. I have found that the multi-grain foods cause me to scratch so I avoid them. Some even cause my blood sugar to rise.

I have discovered the Fiber One snack cakes. They have 90 calories, 16 grams carbs and 5 grams of fiber. They make great snacks to carry when I am out and about.
