I was looking for low cost insulin this week. We usually go through Medco, but there prices are as much as my rent it! I can't afford both! I found this website that explains all the details of what you can do to locate a Wal Mart in your area that has Novolin 75/30 insulin for as low as 16.95. Some places want more, like ours does, but its better then paying 400.00 for 3 viles. Passing this along to those who are looking to and were not aware of this like I was not. :) Now on my March 7th Dr. appointment I can have him, if he wil, write a prescription for this.

I hope that you did find a Wal-mart close to you …I am a Wal-Mart associate…REALLY…and I get my test strips there. I use a reli-on Prime meter and the strips are only 9.00 for 50!! so it helps and keep my one touch meter as a backup. You can even get some prescriptions for 4.00 but depends on what they are. And yes did hear that insulin is as much as rent for an apartment!! that's sad when you need to take insulin on a regular basis and cant afford it. Let me know what happens

I purchase my long lasting insulin (Novilin N) from them for $25 a vial. That lasts me over a month, so that is where I get it. I don't need a prescription either, and that's even better.

Anyhow how, I checked the area Wally world, 70/30 was almost $25, the
Relion in both n and r

Lantus was 351 for 5 pens.

I was glad to see jays name showing up. For some reason I thought of

thank you accordionman for thinking of me! Yeah you did OK! Thanks for checking that out, since sometimes that kind of thing goes the way of the DoDo bird. Good to know that that is available still.

bringing the link closer to the top again ~ so folks don't have to dig down all the way to the bottom to find it.

Maybe Anna, you could go to the "Feedback" link at the bottom and ask that the link to the information be inserted into the original post?

I also note that this discussion happened on diabetes forum in Oct 2011. Anyone know if Walmart still does this?

Hi, I used to, but my husband can't afford the 145.00 dollars for it. I can get it at the Dr. offices to. But I am not on it any more, because it wasn't working for me. I am using Novalon.
