I have done my cleaning out of all the closets and donated 4 bags to the thrift store. I re arranged the furniture in 4 rooms and vacuumed under all the furniture and the baseboards. I cleaned my kitchen and oven thoroughly. got new rugs and curtains. I changed bedspread in my room to be more coordinated. Having an organized and clean house keeps me sane. i cannot stand clutter. Plus I put together all our tax stuff so when the forms come I am ready. My husband had 2 weeks off so I put him to work. He did the furniture. LOL

You know even when I worked, I would clean a room at night when I got home. By the time the weekend came I was done with housework. I am obsessive. I have terrible fear of dust bunnies!!!LOL

Anonymous, I am exactly the same way but for the obsession of germs, bacteria, dirt, anything that carries germs. I clean obsessively, and I shampoo my carpet at least twice a month throughout the whole house. I wash my kitchen cabinets (all 24) at least once a month. with 5 large drawers. And the fridge, dishwasher, stove as well. And my dogs are shedding so I have to vacuum floors, rugs and furniture regularly. I love to buy stuff to decorate with. My degree is in Interior Design, that is why I make so much and change my house so much; right now I am into all primary colors, throughout, Red,yellow, blue and green. Bright and cheerful, not too cluttered, like I like it. I go through constand decorating changes that go from one room to the next to co-ordinate; It is an obsessive disorder of mine, but one I like. I like to clean, it takes my mind away from everything disturbing that is swimming around. Play the music, and go. Sorry, I get way out there sometime, but I do so agree.

Well again this year I have set some goals, but not as high as last year. I felt like I let myself down most of all. I want to walk only with my cane and no assisatace. I want to be able to get off a regular chair or toliet(LOL) without the help of someone. Most of my muscle mass is coming back though. The part in you back that makes you bend down or stand straight is the part were working on at this time. Once I accomplish that I think I be able to walk by myself just with a can. Being an amputee on the left leg, after the transplant I had a stroke and left my right side bad. So go figure by artifical leg is my good side.(You won't hear that much from anyone). So my bad side at this time is actually my good side.(LOL)…Debe

Debe, I am so happy for you and what you are trying to do; I do hope you can get out more with just the cane, and walk around a little to catch that fresh air that is so good for body and soul. luv:->)lilmarm

2008 brought diabetes in for me. I have never been upset or mad, but I want to find a way to stop thinking about what could have happened. I made it through weeks in ICU and I should be thankful (which I am) for that and just study learning all I can and doing the best I can to make the most of it. I also want to talk to my family, friends., etc more about it. I have a wide circle of friends and I have only told one of my friends that I'm diabetic. Of course my family knows, but I've got to learn this is nothing to be ashamed of. Your friend, Angie Best wishes for you!

I have to tell you, I too, took over 4 months to tell anyone outside of immediate family, but now, I have a medical idea card with medications I have made plus, I also bought a medical alert key chain, which I think was the best for not wanting to wear jewelry, and because of certain types of work can be dangerous. The key chain then can be clipped to pant loop, after leaving the vehicle, so you have it on you

I think I am ready to get rid of the bad memories of the past, and start some new ones;, some happy ones. This will benefit my mental health. I also want to limit discussions of the past with the people who have a habit of reminding me about the incidents and pain. You would think they are doing this just to hurt you. Even though they are relatives, sad to think this is true.
What obscene benefits do they get out of someone elses pain.
