HOw do I calculate total carb grams per serving when it says total servings: 10? I am a new diabetic and find this confusing compared to labels where they actually tell you the total carbs and how much a serving is. can you provide a recipe and an example for me from this website? Thanks.

I sometimes wish to either verify the nutritional info provided by recipes here or substitute some of the ingredients…so, I go to and input the ingredients and servings and it will then tell me the nutritional value, including carbs, per serving.

You're right that labels can be confusing. The recipes here list the total number of servings the recipe makes, and then the nutrition information listed is per serving. For example, look at the chicken/pesto pizza with cauliflower crust here: It makes 8 serving, and each serving contains 4 grams carbohydrate. ~Lynn @Glucerna

oh thank you so much, I did not think that was clear on the site, and I love to make recipes from this site to stay healthy. Is their a way to calculate how much the portion is of the 8 servings? ie: 3 oz. or 4oz.?

The best way to calculate a portion is to actually make the recipe, divide it into the suggested number of portions, and then measure that amount. ~Lynn @Glucerna

no they don't tell the carbs per serving that is my problem, they say total carbs and total number of servings in the dish.

Someplace on there I am certain they specify the carbs per serving.
I have been doing the carb thing for several years now, and eventually you will get good enough to make a good estimation at how many carbs per serving if it is not readily available.
