Different results between meters

Has anyone found different meters have different results? I have a Bayer Contour and a Accu-Chek Aviva and the Contour gives me higher readings than the Accu-Chek at the same test. Any ideas? Thanks.

Yes, meters (and the A1c) can differ, as mentioned above. Also, you get varying readings from each hand. Fairly significant at times. Wish there was a way to know which was lowest before testing (LOL).

Meters are allowed to be 20% off on their reading. Even you A1C can be off by 10%. The purpose of the meter is to all you to see a pattern as to what happens to your BG so you can maintain a proper level. It is the ups and downs that cause the damage. The meter is your guide as to what you can and can't eat.

I have no idea. I know that's of no help to you, but hopefully you can find some answers from someone on this site.
