So last night I had to apologize to someone that I didn't recognize at first, what with the eye all pumped full of silicone and Pam's sister acting up lately. So after knowing I've been Type 1 for almost 30 years, I was told that if I had only eaten more carrots and taken a holistic approach…Imagine my irritation when it dawned on me that a GP, an endo, 2 eye surgeouns, and an entire medical team never mentioned what Bugs Bunny tried to teach me in my youth The intellectual inadequacies of the well intentioned always brings a sarcastic smile to my face.

When I saw the headline, I was ready to go all 2 day Diabetic Comprehensive Self-Management Course graduate on you (I'm recently diagnosed Diabetic T2). Then I see the comment was from a ''muggle'' (?)

BTW - aren't the carbs in carrots all starchy quick digesting carbs?

Pam's sister sounds like my teenage son who has a internet understanding of nutrition. ''I saw on the internet this guy said he cured his diabetes with [fill in the blanks]''

I got a little carried away, there's only one person on here that knows 'Pam' is my right eye, because it's all round and pretty, but fake and full of silicone. Her sister is my left eye, still all natural, for now.
The internet can be great, but gives too many well intentioned people misleading info.

This one has me laughing too. I am not discrediting either end, and to be honest, the best care is most likely a combination of the two. But I do like the Bugs Bunny approach.LOL.
People really don't understand diabetes. Besides, everyone knows that you eat carrots to cure cancer....right? LOL

I actually believe in a holistic approach, to healthy living, but I get varying degrees of irritation when it is called a cure, usually by otherwise healthy people…And the Russians supplied the 2nd shooter on the grassy Knoll.
