Do you ever feel you would be a lot happier to be able to share your diabetes worries with a friend?

I have begun to feel that diabetes (I have Type 2 and I am on Metformin) is becoming a very lonely place for me, and I hope that there could be somebody out there who is of the same opinion. I am based in Manchester in the UK, and there is absolutely nothing more that I want right now than a nice, warm and understanding type of person (like myself - hopefully lol) to become my friend, and for us to hopefully meet up and share our problems and worries for the future together. Having friends has never been a problem for me, but as you may understand, it is very difficult for a non - diabetic person to understand our rapid ups and downs that are associated with this condition.

Jump in on some of the conversations/discussions. I didn't get on here to meet anybody, but have been very pleasantly surprised to have made one of my closest friends here. And yeah, having a real friend that is diabetic is completely different.

Have you tried I met my 2nd wife when she responded to my profile. Once she passed (07/2010) I met another ladyfriend on D4D also

My 2nd wife happened to have diabetes my current friend has borderline diabetes.

There are people on D4D who are from the UK. Not all have diabetes, but someone who has other "life challenges" may well understand the stuggles you face with your diabetes.

Praying God's Best for you

James Baker.
