I have often felt (and in my own control) tested the timing from when I take a bolus to when it becomes active. Think about the effect of eating twenty five or thirty carbs (a VERY nice meal, granted) with out insulin… This would generally not result in very pretty blood sugar (or long term A1c readings).

There are also changes in timing which may (under certain conditions) be affected by any or all of the following items (and would appreciate updates for others as well):
a] current blood sugar
b] stress
c] site of infusion/injection
d] time of day
e] Blood sugar over the last few hours/days
f] last thing had to eat (and time between the meals)
g] Mood
h] current activity level
i] Length of time the infusion site has been used
