hello to all my friends I am sorry that I have not been on here for so long, I have been going through a lot of issues, My lap band operation is working well and I have lost a lot of weight, it did not do anything for my diabetes though and I still need insulin. I have a rare fast progressing type of diabetes that requires insulin. I am allergic to all types and my bsl is very high so I have all the side effects that go along with uncontrolled diabetes. I have been in and out of hospital with no outcome. My last choice is to be sent to Sydney Australia to see if I qualify for a pancreas transplant, the doctor told me that he we are running out of options. But I can still smile each day and that is the best medicine It is great to be back.

Hello, so sorry to hear your still having problems. I haven't been on the site for awhile either. I don't like the new set up at all. I may try it out for awhile and see if I can deal with it. I'm a creature of habit, once I learn a website I don't want to relearn it again. It's great your loosing weight, that has to make you feel good. Good luck with the other issues.

When I get an email and I try to see comment it pulls up a stupid ad with a meter or wants me to do a survey with junk I'm not interested in. Takes me longer to find the comment:(
But yes, I have missed you all:)

Girlie, I am so sorry to hear that things are going so hard on you. You should be out enjoying your garden and camping. I hope you are still doing some of those things. Specially when the weight is off, you can do so much more.
Please keep us posted on what they do for your diabetes. It is amazing that they can do pancreas transplants. I hope the docs in Sydney get to the bottom of your condition.
Big hugs to you my friend.
