I came across this in my email today and thought I'd pass it on for anyone else who may be interested.

Two highly-respected non-profit organizations, The Behavioral Diabetes Institute and Taking Control of Your Diabetes, have joined together to establish an Online Diabetes Research Registry.

“The Registry,” explains Dr. Polonsky of BDI, “is a confidential list of people with diabetes who want to be informed about our research projects as they become available.”

The best part is that there is no obligation to actually participate in any of the on-going studies. Signing up simply means that you will be informed of any new research projects taking place, giving you the ability to participate if you want to! Plus, you will get paid for your time and effort in participating.

Signing up is simple: you will be asked for your contact information, your age, educational background, the type of diabetes you have, and what medications or technology you currently use to treat your diabetes!

All names in the list will be kept confidential and seen only by the Registry staff.
