One of my biggest struggles is getting my HDL to go up. Women are supposed to have it around 50 and I could barely break 30 for so long. I finally am in the 40's with it through exercise and eating better. So I found this slide show today about how we can raise the HDL (thats the good cholesterol) and I thought I would share it with you. http://www.everydayhealth.com/high-cholestero...

Thanks for sharing this information. These tips not only are helpful for HDL, but they're also good for us overall. Double bonus! ~Lynn @Glucerna

thanks for the link Gabby. my LDL is good (59) but I have struggled to get my HDL up to 50. since my stroke I have issues that make working out a bit problematic so always looking at other ways to increase.

I knew some of these things, but the eating "purple" was interesting. More eggplant please.

Before my diagnosis, my cholesterol was wonderful. After my diabetes kicked in my numbers increased a little. Not crazy, but it needs care now.
