We live almost an hour from closest hospital and my doctors was diagnosed with type 2 14 months ago have spent four of those months in hospital had to quit my job just couldn't commit to it with everything going on in life now and can't pass my med cert due to diabetes so I lost my cdl after a great 16 yr career still can not get bs down under 250 been working closely with all my doctors but as long I still have ongoing issues that are part of my diabetes once they are healed hopefully bs will go normal again I'm new here and just looking for some peoples experiences similar to mine and find some good hints and advise so far I have read some good things I will try and look intoas I live so far from easy access to groups we live on my wife's income only now as I am physically not able to help right now but getting there but seems like every doctors visit we fix one problem and another pops up I abused my body and being a former long hauler didn't eat or sleep right more did get the right exercise and now I'm paying for it so I hope to learn allot from this app community I have so far enjoyed the discussions I have read its good to know I'm not the only one

You can always go to the ASK THE EXPERTS section here on DC! They are doctors, diabetic educators, and dieticians affiliated with the Joslin center. A great way to get excellent advice for free. Consider asking them about healthy food plans, exercise, medications, and any other concerns.
