I saw a discussion on Victoza and Bydureon. Currently I take the Victoza and it is working for me very well however at the beginning of this year my insurance is dropping the Victoza and I will have to start the Bydureon. I also take Glumetza, Lantus, and Humalog… My greatest concern is the black box warning about causing Thyroid Cancer. My grandmother had thyroid cancer and she has been passed since 1982 so I have no way of knowing if hers was the MTC or not… Does anyone know the statistics about the Bydureon causing thyroid tumors/cancer? Thank you… Im really stressed about this.

you would do best to talk to your doctor. getting opinions about something so serious may not help you best. talk to your doctor asap. Denise :)

Since you have a family history of Thyroid cancer you need to communicate that to your PCP or Endo. There may be a way that your Dr can get this change in your insurance co policy changed.
