My first try at any type of chat line. I have type 2 diabetes. For Christmas I received a SodaStream.
I'm not a big cola drinker but I do care for some diet sodas/tea and flavored water. Can anyone give me some suggestions/recipes as a diabetic on how to create a sugar free beverage? Thanks

I would muddle up some fruits and put them in your bubbly water. I don't do the diet drinks anymore for the most part. But if you take some berries and mash them with some truvia, you can make a bubbly drink that way. Lemons, limes, strawberries, blueberries....the list is large. Mix in some mint or basil in your drinks and be amazed.

the only soda that i drink is club soda. the rest including diet are all toxic full of sugar and chemicals that cause Cancer. please be careful. i cut up fresh lemons and make a pitcher of water and drink it all day. i also drink 2 cups of coffee a day (i need to switch to decaf much healthier) and i drink a lot of herbal teas. to treat inflammation i cut up raw ginger root and boiling water to make a tea. i drink several cups a day. Happy New Year!

Soda stream does have a diet option flavor so try it. I love soda but since being diagnosed. I just drink diet coke and crystal light now. I only take advantage of sugary drinks when my bs is low.
