Yep if I don't eat my bs will jump way up
I find that if I eat even a little and cover for it I don't do a sugar dump.
Hate that feeling of going way up or way down
Hope your feeling better.

21, you have got to stop treating your diabetes as a game you are playing. This is your life. You posted the same thing a week ago and everyone told you what you should be doing.

You don't eat and not eating is the worse thing you can do for diabetes. Because you didn't eat, you had a liver dump. The liver does this because it doesn't trust the body to take care of itself. Until you see a dietitian to help you with a meal plan and take your diabetes more seriously, you are going to continue to have the problems you are having. At the end of the day, only you are responsible for your diabetes and only you can take care of it.

What you may be experiencing is a so called "liver dump". Your liver stores glycogen and when your body senses it your BG is getting low it will dump the glycogen into your bloodstream to bring your BG back up. Unfortunately this is not something which is metered, it just dumps it and one can end up with high BG levels. This is discussed on the ADA website here ~

To keep from having a liver dump one should eat at least a small meal every 3-4 hrs, It should be a good mix of protein and low carb foods.
