If there is a free clinic in your area they can help you with your insulin until you get your Medicaid

see that's what i am talking about, there should be somewhere you can get help right away from, most of the things people have suggested have a 2 to 3 week waiting time for a yes or no

Call Novo Nordisk Patient Assistance Program (866) 310-7549 and/or go to their website. Provide the info they request and if they carry your insulin you should be able to get it free all year long. They have been helping me with insulin for 2-3 years. I get 3 months supply at a time. You have to go through your doctor and they ship it to your doctor. If they don't carry the brand you use but you qualify for help, have your doc change your prescription. Good luck!!

I have read all of the responses to this post, and I also think going to the ER is your best bet. Try to go during the week, not on the weekend. Take everything with you that shows you are diabetic, and ask them for a list of resources you can turn to for help. Good luck, and stay connected. We care! :)

You can contact the insulin company and sometimes they will with a doctor give you free insulin under there certain programs they provide.

I lived in West Palm Beach and they have a really big health department everything is free they also help you to get your insulin. They sometimes have insulin there and syringes. You should Google Florida health department to find one near you.

If worse comes to worse, go to the nearest ER.

Then go to the ER. At least you will get insulin and if you tell them you won't be able to get any until Jan. 1, they may give you enough to see you through. They may also be able to tell you where to go to get some. Check your city for low income health centers. They may be able to help you and call your health department. They have tons of resources. You can also try homeless shelters. They know where people can get immediate help and might be able to help you.

Pull out the phone book and start calling every church listed. Occasionally churches will have diabetic members that would be willing to donate supplies or money to assist in filling insulin.

Yes, The Govt. loves to play politics, games & B.S. their way with our lives. I've worked for them in many capacities & know their works from the inside out. Tom
