I think one of the worst things about being Type One is when you want to treat yourself to one of your favorite candies, but you don't know how many pieces you want to eat! My favorite candies are jolly ranchers, and I hate when I have to give myself insulin for every three candies I eat! I guess that's the good thing about being on a pump.
What do you guys think is the most annoying part about being Type One ?

LOL jolly ranchers are my favorite also. There's so much sugars on them you wouldn't even imagine that little piece of candy has so much sugar. I had one my blood sugar was 100 10 minutes I rechecked 120. I was really surprised and I knew I had to stop.

I'm with you on that one, but being new to a pump, I love pushing a button instead of getting another needle. My worst part is the complications that age you before your time. I didnt always have the best control, I did what I did and am not looking for sympathy, but at 41 I am not looking to compare eye surgery notes with my grandfolks. I'm too young and attractive to be parading around 1/2 blind with cataracts in my good eye

I definitely agree! I still love my pump and there's not a change I would ever go back to injections! And that's a good point. It's awful how many things come with diabetes!

I would take a thousand shots a day to have some depth perception again… But on the other hand, I had fun misbehaving in my 20's and 30's, so I guess on balance, no regrets, I probably wouldn't go back and change…
