Hey everyone(: been a while. Missed all of you wonderful people! Just have a couple of questions. Well my 18th birthday is coming up on the 21st and im wondering if anyone knows of any cake recipes that are low in sugar and are healthy for you? I really don't want this birthday to be like last years. Almost landed in the hospital cause of my blood sugar level. And if anyone knows of good diet websites or any good diets to follow(: january 1st is when i wanna start my new diet. New years resolution. And i only have 4 months to lose enough weight to look good in a prom dress for prom my senior year! Any ideas and suggestions would be great! :D thank you!

Do you have an iPhone? The dLife app had some amazing recipes that are really great! There is also a diabetic recipe app if you have an android phone. If not, I'm sure you can find dLife online, or you can find something on this website as well! Happy birthday. :)

Brandi, there are sugar free cake mixes. I have seen them in larger supermarkets. There are also sugar free frostings. I think both Duncan Hines and Betty Crocker makes them.

There are all kinds of diets out there that could work for you from Paleo to Adkins to Weight Watchers. You have to find one that you like. You can also ask your doctor to refer you to a nutritionist to help you formulate a meal plan that will help you and then add an exercise routine to help with weight loss.

I remember 18: freshman year in college on four shots a day using urine sugars to determine how good control was and celebrating that I'd made it through a month NOT at home!

instead of worrying about cakes, cupcakes and food how about a celebration of LIFE! if you want "goodies" far too many good recipes for low carb cakes and cookies.

How about a party with the foods YOU enjoy and are permitted to eat?? Maybe your freinds will learn more about HOW to provide food you can eat if you show them a great meal that isn't poisonous to your health!
