Jigsaw here is the article. For some reason I can't put links where you can simply click on them. Doesn't work and I don't know why.

Thankyou Joyce! Every bit of info is helpful. Interesting article. As far as placing the link, certain search engines seem to react in strange ways. You might have better luck with an alternate search engine. It worked for me.

Thanks for sharing this article Joyce. I've found the best-tasting olive oils, and ones that meet the guidelines recommended in the article, in specialty food stores. In fact, I love to go to stores where I can taste the olive oil before purchasing it. ~Lynn @Glucerna

You want to make sure you have a 100% olive oil first. Many of the cheaper ones have a mix, but they still sell it as olive oil. So check your ingredients. Also, cold pressed is supposed to be really good. It is not cooked and maintains it's nutrients better. I use olive oils, but also coconut and on occasion peanut oil.

Gabby much of the olive oil sold in this country do not meet the quality assurance standards of olive oil. Some of it is actually fraudulent oil. Even the labels are misleading as to what is actually in the oil.

I use coconut oil on occasion also. I have yet to check the labels for cold pressed. I'll have to look into it.

I just read an article that said much of the Olive Oil sold in this country is not what it is suppose to be. I will see if I can find it.

It wouldn't surprise me a bit. I would be interested in the article, because I use evoo for cooking and salad dressings.
