Howdy Nyu

I have had persistent anemia for a while and I felt lethargic, not having the energy to do things as the hemoglobin in the blood, which carries the oxygen to the cells is not there to transport it. I had to make sure my BG levels were in the normal range, and when they were the fatigue could be attributed to the anemia. I was put on iron pills to combat the anemia (be aware that iron pills may cause constipation)

That was just before I returned to hemodialysis and now I receive Epogen (a medication which bicycle racers use to boost their blood to give them a supposed edge) which raises one's hemoglobin levels. Since then I have been receiving those injections (in the tubing connected to my dialysis machine) each session I have no more anemia.

If you think you have anemia, don't mess around with it. Do NOT self diagnose. Get checked out by your MD and then go from there and follow instructions.

Praying all of God's best for you and yours

James
