I'm 14 weeks pregnant, I was suffering from headaches, dry mouth, lack of energy, and my doctor referred me to blood sugar testing. They found it's higher than normal, in other words, I'm pre-diabetic. My mother was diabetic. I'm really scared right now. Trying to stay positive & do something about it, but it's so hard emotionally (having my first child, without my mother around). I need motivation. Please Help!

Congratulations on your pregnancy! Please ask your doctor for a referral to a diabetes educator and dietitian. They'll help you learn about what you can do to manage blood sugar levels during pregnancy and often they're an excellent source of support. ~Lynn @Glucerna
