Well my mom had a talk with me last night. Her and my Dad want me to go back on injections. I get funding where I am but even with that the pump costs a lot of money! My dad may lose his job as the company he works for isn't running great and my the company my mom works for might be going on a strike. So once I use up the pump supplies I have right now, I will be going back on the pen. It's been stressing me out a lot. Has anyone else went from the pump back to injections?

ABSOLUTELY NOT!! there are a few organizations that have ability to help you, there are people out here who will help and the companies themselves have a fund to supply at least some level of supplies for those patients unable to provide for their own supplies (or copays). PLEASE get in touch or I will post the info in a new form.

First thought - look up and get the contact number - they have a "goodies" supply that is quite good and able to help for at least short term.

Thank you for the information, but I already get funding from the government (I'm from Canada) I also have to take more measures as I am allergic to the adhesives of the pump sights and the plastic canulas. I have to use a barrier puffer and I have to use bioclusive IV tape that doesn't cause a reaction to keep the pump sight in. All these things are costing my family way more than we thought. I love the pump, but it seems to be a bit of a struggle for me…

Don't agree you have to quit. I did this for over 33 years: i was allergic to nickel (read stainless steel) and basically invented what people know call the teflon catheter! I had trouble with getting basal rate adjusted (read that as SINGLE basal rate) and fought with companies until they implemented more than one basal for 24 hours!!

I had to for a little while when my insurance company wasn't working for me. It wasn't too bad. But I'm sorry about that situation!
