I'll look into this. I love playing games. I like alot of others play on pogo, but will give this site a chance to earn money for diabetes.

I have never done this kind of thing before. I joined today and am on the "Tigers against Diabetes" as GabbyT2. www.iwon.com
Now my question is, will this remain a free thing for me to do? I always seem to get sucked into a play now pay later sinerio...This doesn't look like that, but one never knows.

Been there since November 1999 - and it has remained free. The amount of advertising as a "free games site" almost prevents IWON from changing to a subscription service (nearly 2,500,000 members could get VERY angry).

I play on Pogo, too and if you want the good stuff you pay 40 dollars for a year. But you get to win lots of badges I have over 800. Spend most of my day there, now I have Iwon to go to also. Thanks for the site info. I picked ADA as my charity but you can pick from alot.

That is a lot of members. I am still getting the hang of the friends and setting up things. But I played a little yesterday and had some fun. At least now when I play it is accomplishing something! Woo Hoo! I see St Jude won the last month...so the challenge is on. The Tigers are the #5 team on the site, so that is fantastic! I am excited, and though I don't play much (I try to keep my computer time down) I will give it all I've got.
Thanks again for sharing the site. I will be looking for you Judy!!

Please - don't forget the blog! http://tigersagainstdiabetes.blogspot.com/
It will help you get your feet on the ground, when IWON doesn't help much. They really need some orientation for new members. Most (55% at last sampling) still don't know where to look to see if they have messages - IWON supplies a messages link on the top of most pages - but not the messages that matter. Mostly stuff to ignore. But - if you use the tips from the blog's first article, you will soon find your way around.
By the way, I also added a link to this site to the blog, although I could not get the site's "gadget" to work. So, even though I don't collect the 40 points, the link is there on the right - along with the link to Tigers' team page.

I joined the Tigers too. My name is Justcuz40again, sounds like a good cause and I like to relax playing games so this should be fun. :)

I hate to download exe. files. They can hold a bunch of bad things. Should I trust this site?

I know how you feel but it so far is safe, they have a secured site certificate that came up. Hope that helped. Hope to see you there.

I never encountered the downloads - maybe I stayed onsite to play, which is how the coins are accumulated, and credited to the charity team.

I joined this morning. They have all kinds of charities to pick from, health, animal all kinds. I joined under the ADA one. I even found a game I like Fashion Mahjong, Very fun. Everyone on here should join, great way to help out plus it is relaxing, relieves stress and is fun to play. There are all kinds of games to choose from, card, board, casino, etc. Hope to see everyone there. We should tell our sign in names so we can look for each other.

Shame on you - Tigers Against Diabetes supports the ADA - the same cause - and actually has a chance to win a check for them. The ADA team is so small, competing against 3000+ member powerhouses, that they have zero chance. Tigers plays against much smaller teams, on the RIGHT side of the selections.

I thought the reason you told us was for a good cause, not to get more people for your team. That is why I joined under the ADA, something I know and believe in. Sorry if you only wanted people for your team.

It is great to support the cause. What I tried to say, is that it is better to support that cause with a check, than with only a wish. I have no quarrel with the ADA team - but they face such large opponents that *I* left them to join Tigers when that opened up for me.

Thank you for the information! I play a lot on Pogo, however, if this benefits diabetics, I will gladly play here. Sounds great and I will check it out!

Wow, you've got me. I have just at 300 in 6 years! I play a lot of cards and the slot games. I also love Canasta. I was stupid enough to use an old email address, Angiewilliams205, so look me up if you want to play. I will play just about any of the games! Take care, Angie

Way to go Avera! Yes, please all come and help the TigersAgainstDiabetes Team on Iwon win another $10,000.00 that goes to the American Diabetes Assoc. to help find a cure. To play at Iwon.com is free. You join iwon , then you join a charity. Iwon matches the coins you win for your charity when you play any of the free games there, so it costs you nothing to help that charity. Please all come at least check it out, remember go to iwon.com to play free games and help find a cure for diabetes while you're having fun. Thanks so much! GypsySnow

I haven't been to that site in a long time. The games there are fun. Don't we need to know what game to play to find the group that you mentioned? Let us know, I'd like to try to find it. I hope the game yall are playing is easy. lol I am NOT good at all of them.

What a great idea! IWON has the best free games I have ever found, and getting to help battle this accursed affliction by simply PLAYING is too good! Great, SwtVagirl is the "man"!
