this is not going to be easy

I already know that now for a fact. I mean I just had oatmeal with brown sugar in it for breakfast. Guilty. What I need is someone too take all the food out of my house and replace it with what's good for me and then hold my money so I won't cheat.

Life certainly seems like it would be a lot easier if someone else made all the difficult choices for us, doesn't it? As Joyce and James said, how would you feel if you decided to clean out your pantry yourself, and stock it with healthier choices? Might that feel empowering? ~Lynn @Glucerna

It will feel empowering the problems are 1. I don't know what is good for me and 2. I'm very limited on funds. Do I read labels or just eat better than the junk I have in my fridge and cupboard? I mean I've gone to some sugar free items but is that good or bad?

You have to be responsible for yourself. You do not ask people to be responsible for you. Over time they will resent you and you will end up hating them for doing what you asked them to do.

You knew you should not have eaten the oatmeal with brown sugar yet you ate it. Now you want someone to "police" the food that you purchase and the food you eat. Only you are responsible for your diabetes. You are the only one who can control the food you buy and the food you eat. I hope that over time you will learn to be able to do this for yourself. Good Luck.

Howdy Natluvsnic

May I suggest that you do it yourself. Really if someone were to do it FOR you I believe that very soon you'd resent them (if not secretly hate them). I doubt that you really would like to set someone up to be your "food police".

Looking at your profile I see no indication of how you you might be, but I suspect you are not very old. To become more fully mature, one must do things that one is able to do for themselves.

Praying God's best for you and yours
