Sorry I have been gone for so long. Things have just been hectic. I have decided to start over new with treating my diabetes. Forgetting everything that has happened in the past and starting again. I need to do a lot of research though. Anyone know of any good books out there? I have been having some high blood suagrs lately and that is mostly due to my fear of crashing. Any advice or help on how to start over would be great. thanks.

I just went through the same thing. I was stuck and not getting anywhere. I had things I wanted to try, but no motivation to do that. What I did was ask for someone to help guide me. I had a member here, Nick, give me the nudge and direction I needed to start fresh with new ideas. I have been loosing weight and my numbers have improved. I still have a lot of work to do, but having a coach really helped me over the "where do I begin" bump that kept stopping me.

I did what I did when I was first diagnosed. My journal got more serious, I chose to pursue the Paleo way of living, eliminating grains and dairy and got my butt moving again more than I was doing. All of these things helped get me started. Then I got sick and kind of had to start again, but it was so much easier because I had been doing these good things before I got sick.

So find someone to be your "buddy" and it does help a lot.
