soy milk vs fat free milk ?

Ok Bakers Question for you . when i recipe calls for fat free milk is it ok to use soy milk instead of fat free milk if you are Lactose intolerance ? i Love to cook & Bake but can't take the milk. Help !!!

It kind of depends on what it is that you are baking. Sometimes soy milk will ruin the consistency of something that milk wouldn't have. But I think in most cases you are ok substituting it. I would google it if I were you to see what other bakers say.

Should be safe. As long as milk is not one of the main ingredients. Even then you can adjust some of the other ingredients. Milk, water, another liquid can often be a safely swapped out. Sometimes taste will be altered. Some things may be slightly crispier, or more tender, I often sub water for milk in baking. Or, have subbed any number of other liquids or semi liquids for milk based on what is in the kitchen.
