I've been on it for 1.5 yrs, and I must say that it has controlled my sugars. I don't have lows either or nausea. BUT I HAVE LOST A TOTAL OF 5 POUNDS!!! Everyone's different. But I'm so ticked at being overweight for so long that if I get cancer. . . hope I lose weight! P.S. I really don't want cancer!!!

Ok…In my opinion Victoza is a horrible drug. I am saying this as I personally had a really bad experience with it. I was so sick the entire time I was taking it (literally couldn't eat, vomiting). Byetta is a lot better if you do not have issues with pancreatitis (I know this from experience). Personally, I am loving my Novolog Sliding Scale and Lantus. Like I said, everyone's body is different, so it may be ok for you. Have you done research on it yet? I found it interesting that the med actually Byetta is a synthetic version of a protein found in the saliva of the Gila monster that works similarly to the human GLP.
