I have a co-worker that also has type 1 diabetes. We have a friendly competition going on …who has the better A1c. I was in the lead for a few months…Now she's 6.4 and I'm 7.4! My next one will be under 7, I'm sure of it! :)

This is a great way to find the support to get to your goals. A little friendly competition (as long as you are not forcing lows) is good for the soul and for the glucose. Good job!

The funny thing was … My endo's nurse offered to take her a1c ( because she isn't a diabetic ) and I could bring it to my coworker! It was super sweet… But I want to win fair and square

I've got a few other T! coworkers, but they are pretty private about it. Sounds like you got a good thing going, good luck getting under 7.I just got my 1st pump and fully intend to be seeing 6's for the 1st time

ok, so what is the ultimate A1C? the lower the better ?
You better watch out because lower does not always mean better, it is possible to go too low.

I really like this idea. It gives you an extra incentive to work harder and take control of your numbers.
