Can having diabetes cause you to break out with hives all over your arms?

No. HIves are an allergic reaction to something you have eaten, wearing, or something in your enviornment. I have them just about every time I touch wool, or smell something I am allergic to and have had the problem since I was a kid.

Not generally, I would have that checked out. It could be a reaction to your medicines but to be honest, it could be almost anything. I had a break out years ago (before being diabetic) and it was stress. It took over my whole torso. It drove me nuts.
