I've lately been having a lot of problems with my diabetes. I am constantly experiencing high blood sugar, and anything I eat just seems to make it go high. I can't even eat as much as a sandwich without going high. I'm feeling so much stress, its becoming really hard to manage.

Sadly, diabetes is a progressive disease and while we do our best to manage it, it like to throw us curve balls every now and then to keep us on our toes. As you mentioned, perhaps stress could be an issue. It could even be things like sleep patterns or a change in a food that you normally eat without issues. Try not to be frustrated but look at is as a fact finding mission. With some investigation and observation, you may find a trigger you were not previously aware of.

First, put down the sandwich, bread is not your friend. With all your stress you need to just take a walk. Don't think of exercising just walk and chill, maybe stop and smell a flower. Now call your doctor and get your apt with a nutritionist. You will feel better after you talk to someone. Don't forget to write down all your questions. Sometimes stopping, thinking and taking control can give us peace of mind

First talk to your doctor, then speak with a dietitian. A dietitian can help you build a meal plan that will help you get in control and maintain the control. One question you should ask your doctor is how many carbs per day/meal you can have. Then base your meals on that amount. Stress can also contribute to high numbers. Try to relax and if possible exercise.

I think the stress may have had something to do with the high numbers. More exercise would probably really help me. Thank you for your advice and support.

Sorry you're going through this! Are you type one or two? And have you seen your doctor yet? I know how frustrating management can be sometimes for no apparent reason, and stress will only make it worse. Try to relax and check with your doctor to see if you need to change your management strategy. Hang in there :)
