A DISH BEFORE DYING
So this is just for fun and I want everyone to post something! Imagine you will die in a couple of hours and you can have anything you want for your last meal—-and someone else is doing the cooking! What would you want to eat? And who is the one person you would want to share this last meal with? No fair if youre just wanting to stick this person with the dirty dishes ;)

WOW! I would have the meal with my son. I think I would have my parents cook the meal and I would have my fathers Spagehti/ meat balls and my mothers Chicken Catitore and all the choclate cake with vanilla icing that I can eat.
Huge pizza, with a side bowl of avocado salsa and chips, and eat it with my wife.
Chocolate fudge cake. Hot. Yummy. I miss that.
All the creeping chocolate, striped candy and chocolate sprinkled bombs at the very end of Candy Crush. Yay!
Eggplant Parm with my Mom
I would want a giant buffet with foods from all over the world and I would deffinately take my mom. The best mommy in the world.
I'd want Lacasa's borritos with a pina colada and Flautitas with bean dip on the side and eat with my family!
With only a couple hours to live, Im not gonna be "eating" ; ) There is a list of other fun to be acomplished as in immediately, tout suit!
However playing your game strictly…
Pomme-Souflee (sp,?) a french, paper thin airy potato dish which requires obscene heat and fire to make
A cake I had as a child from a bakery long ago destroyed… the receipe of which I've never had/tasted since.
"Peking Duck", or any type of brazen duck cooked and served by people who have spent their entire lives performing only those tasks…
Several pounds or a wheel maybe of
Kraft's Sharp-Chedder Old English Cheese
Or perhaps entirely brand new dishes… never tried before.
Naaaah, no time for this… too many things to be set right first -ggg-
SIGH…
My meal with the historical persons
Mahatma Gandhi
Buddha (Siddhartha Guatama (sp.?)
Muhammad
Jesus
George Fox
Tesshu, a Japanese Zen fellow…
Any english speaking Dali-Lama (past or present)
There is a list of folks who would all make beautiful guests at that meal ; ) When its arranged let me know would ya…? Probably gonna be too busy finishing other things likely…
LOL! I hear ya!
an 11" x 17" pan of Rice Krispy Treats.
and then they can cremate me and I will smell like roasting marshmallows over a campfire.
ROFL
LOL!! I love it.
Ooh…You mean I don't have the do the dishes too!
Okay, then I want some somothered pork chops with carrots and green peppers. Or A broc, carrot & cauliflower mix with cheese sauce (something that I make for the fam) but with fried pork chops or chicken. Ummm!
Oh wait, I know what I really want. Some bbq ribs, smothered in sauce with cold potato salad. Yeah, make that my last meal and I'd be content.
I had that last week. I added burbon to the sauce and it was fantastic.
Prime Rib with horseradish sauce, sweet potato smothered in butter with brown sugar and cinnamon, mixed veggies, some fresh baked french bread. Then for desert a massive slab of german chocolate cake. I should like to share this meal with my husband, and our families.
Okay, I didn't even think about dessert cause I have an awful addiction to cake. Something that I finally got under control. But my dessert of choice would be vanilla cake with chocolate frosting, with a side of pistachio ice cream. Trust me, it goes well together.
I would love a giant pizza and a big platter of assorted cupcakes! YUMMM! My favorites! :)
I didn't think about cupcakes.
Definitely would have a big fat juicy burger, with my favorite toppings like jalapeños, avocado, onion rings, lettuce, tomato, and pepper jack cheese, with a side of garlic Parmesan fries AND a sprinkles cupcake for dessert with an angry orchard beer! :)
I love angry orchard. I need to add that to my meal. Thanks for the reminder.
When I was in foster care I lived with a lovely family the mother always make pecan pie but she never give me any she was scared my blood sugar would be too high. I just want pie lot of sugar before I die
My hubby would be there with you. I make pecan pie for Thanksgiving and Christmas...he gets to enjoy it then.
Filet Mignon and Lobster with lots of butter. Baked potato with bacon sour cream and butter. Asparagus and a white dinner roll. Also with a nice bottle of Oregon Pinot Noir. And I would eat with my "if I could pick anyone live or dead" my father, otherwise I would pick my son. Either way it would be a great meal.
Comice pears … a lot of them :)
I would have 500 donut holes with a side of choc milk.
Chocolate chip cookies
I would have to add that Jan. They are a given…LOL
Mine would be a steamed Maine Lobster with hot, melted butter to dip it in, pan seared scallops, and a salad. Dinner partner knows who he is , because he is a very special man !
That sounds great!
Never been a fan of lobster…but I could learn to really like it!
Kirk, I have had lobster in Connetticut totally sweet and delicious. Had it here in MD and it was a tottally different taste. I won't eat it south of that state. Same with Crabs. I won't eat anything in any resturant that claims to sell MD Crab Cakes. They simply are not a MD Crab Cake. Outside of MD or unless you are a Marylander living in another state, are not made the Maryland way.
Joyce…I am from NE so as you can imagine, I am very picky about my seafood. Only eat fresh, wild caught. Do not like crab legs much, being from NE, I am used to Rock Crabs, also, lobster has to be Maine Lobster.
I have never had Rock Crabs. Don't you boil those. In Maryland we get crabs fresh from the bay and we steam them in Old Bay and beer then have a crab picking good time.
We steam them, no seasoning (eewww), then dip the meat in hot melted butter. Okkkk… I'm drooling now, lol!
And you can imagine living in Kansas (as far from the oceans as possible) the few times I had lobster I just wasnt impressed. But the beef here is fantastic!
When I die I hope they put a rare steak in the coffin with me. I love beef. Although Buffalo is good too.
I know you WOULD!
I would want to start off with Cream of Crab soup, warm Crab Dip (all made with Maryland Blue Crabs) Lobster Bisque, very rare Prime Rib with mashed potatoes and gravy, creamed spinach, pickled beets, creamy mac and cheese, warm dinner rolls. For dessert it would be orange/cream sorbet, warm apple pie with rum sauce and yellow cake with creamy chocolate frosting. When the crane comes to remove me from the table, I want to be nibbling on milk chocolate. I want to share it with Idris Elba, Barrack and Michelle Obama and my family.
Truthfully, I don't think about my last meal. I do think about meals that I think I would possibly die for! For example, some great variations of pasta in a great Italian restauraunt, with a gigantic hot fudge sunday for desert. OOdles of whipcream and massive squirts of hot fudge over humongous scoops of vanilla ice cream. I'm already drooling with the thought! As far as who I would like to have this great meal and dream with…that remains my secret??? For now, I'll go finish my cup of no fat cottage cheese )-;.
Omg, save me a seat!
(-: ?
The largest plate of spaghetti's and meatballs
Toasted white Italian garlic bread
Large slice of cheese cake with berries on it
Drizzled with some chocolates
Sharing this fabulous meal with my friend Joe!
For me it would be less about the food and more about who I shared the meal with. Call me ambivalent as I could not choose just one person but would prefer my whole family, including in-laws and out-laws and all of the friends that have come into my life, from childhood to the present and the people I have yet to meet. I would request that each bring along their favorite dish to share. I imagine that could be an interesting bounty as well as a mountain of dirty dishes.
Im inviting myself and will bring the deviled eggs :)
You are on the invited list and I like deviled eggs.
Cool cuz that couldve been awkward ;)
I'm going to have a 16oz prime rib with a baked potatoe drenched in butter! And some really good white dinner rolls also ( going to skip the salad…lol) and share it with a very special woman
And your dinner partner would be…?
she knows who she is…and she is a very special woman
Wow...this is a deep subject and filled with so many possibilities. Should I care if my blood sugar is going to go through the roof? I think not.
So I would like a "real" chicken burrito (we have a local restaurant that is to die for) with home made guacamole on it and a drizzle of mole sauce. On the side I would like black beans and rice topped with raw sweet onion and fresh cilantro. Then for dessert, I would like fried ice cream rolled in corn flakes and drizzled with caramel sauce.
I would like to share it with my hubby...and just tell him I love him over and over again and that it will be okay when I'm gone.
That made me well up Gabby! What a lucky man your hubby is :)
Didn't mean to make you cry. Was it the food or the love? LOL =0)
