If I use a salad dressing with a high vinegar content then I take insulin for only half the carbs in my salad. I eat a 20 carb salad every day at 6-7pm. If I use a high vinegar dressing I bolus for 10 carbs or my BG will drop too low. I have read many posts on several sites that say vinegar can be used to lower blood sugar.
I read on one site tha a Type 2 diabetic took a half cup of vinegar and added an artifical sweetener and some cinnamon and drank it. Their BG dropped but I don't remember how much.
Does vinegar have the same effect on you folks?
