Hi , i am a Type 1 Insulin dependent since i was 17 and now i am 34. I am worried about my weight and someone recommended Almased. I am worried about my injections…i am having 4 injections a day and sometimes if i do not eat on time i get hypo.. Was wondering how this Almased is working ? i Do not mind spending on Almased as long as it;s safe for my diabetis…anyone tryed it ?

Definitly. I don't even like chocolate cake, but became the biggest chocolate cake eater in history (at least in my mind). But I finally got the craving under control. There are a lot of snack ideas out there that can be put in place of the "not so good for us" foods. It will take some time but you'll find what works for you. My faves are slices of sharp cheddar on top of wheat thins, a handful of almonds or whatever fruit I have on hand. There's also Fiber One bars, protein shakes, the whole nine. Like I said, will take some time but you'll work it out. Keep us posted.

I'm a little person, and I literally ate 50x more than ANYONE who lived in my house afer starting insulin. Lol, don't worry, it'll pass.

Hi diver1, Yes,insulin makes you very hungry. I have tried a that Almased Shake, and it eases the apetite cravings for me. You might also try getting as much protein as possible during the breakfast and lunch meals. I am Cat Debe and I have been a type 2 diabetic for over 20 years. I am new to the group.

Things like cucumber, pepperoni, cups of tea are very filling and contain no carbs (no worries for injections)

Yep ben there done that.
What worked for me was to slow down nibble on wheat thins like 3 only at a time and only when it starts driving you nuts .
Drink lots of water that helps too.
Keep me posted on how your doing
It will slow down after a little bit .
