Anyone have abnormally high BG during your menstrual cycle? I've only been diagnosed for a few months and I have readings in the 300s regularly during my cycle, by the time I correct to figure it out, I'm done and hitting hard lows. Any suggestions welcome…my doctor is on vacation this week- of course!

I am so for past those times but it used to do me that way. My endo told me it was normal but think it was before we had the fast acting insulins. Had a mastectomy when I as 47 and that stopped me but that was in 97.

I need to pay more attention cause I honestly don't know. I certainly have noticed a color change but never even occured to me to see if the numbers are effected. Will pay more attention to that. Thanks.

i'm the same way! when its running that high after you cover for it check a little more frequently like 15 mins after if its kind of low grab a snack with protein i found protein helps stabilizes my BG

Im type one and i have yet to find a pattern when it comes to my cycles.. Sometimes im super low while other times im averaging 14 for the week.. Its crazy and ubpredictable. I just correct when necessary and try to not go for the junk goods that i crave during that time. Lol good luck!

I have highs- about 200s. I correct often, even if its not a mealtime. When I get high, I feel pretty bad too.

However, since I've been going really low during the work day (50 or lower at times) my doctor recommended reducing my morning Levemir by 20%. It's helping. Maybe you could ask about adjusting your daily dose to see if that helps.
I really try to eat virtually no carbs during my cycle, it helps with bloating and fatigue too.
Keep us posted on what you find- best of luck! It sucks.

Im T1, and I as well experience highs during my entire cycle. I just tend to take a unit or two more of insulin with my meals. It helps

I'm T2, but have no experienced highs during my cycle!!! While my cycle has changed, it hasn't affected my numbers!! Good Luck!!
