So I woke up this morning to the sensation of right side of my right thigh completely numb. Has happened before so I wasn't really concerned about it. However, it is now after 9pm here and the sensation isn't showing any signs of going away. How bad is this? Should I call my doc tomorrow if it still persists? My numbers have been fluctuating but not too bad. I'm still fasting somewhere between 120-125. On a bad day I'm around 140-150. Had a huge spike recently but no where I went wrong there. The only thing that has changed is my lows (which are in the 90"s for me) have been happening more frequently lately. Okay so technically they are not lows, but when you have lived it the low 100's as long as I have, it just doesn't feel right. Please tell me I'm just being a worry wort for nothing. Or is this as big as it seems?

For me I'd be thinking a pinched nerve in the lumbar region. Do you believe in Chiropractic?

I gues that's possible, Nick. It's still numb today. And this is after doing a lot of walking, squats, leg kicks (stuff like that) to get the circulation rolling. Haha…I guess I did more exercise yesterday than I have in a week. Oh man, that is so bad. However, even though it still feels numb, I can touch the area and have feeling there now. Whereas yesterday, I could have scratched myself hard enough to draw blood and would not have even felt it. And to answer your question, I've been to a Chiropractor 3 times but that's it.

I've had that happen a lot. My discs are shot and are now fused. If you can find one of those big exercise balls, or even the arm of the couch, try lying belly down on it right about at your lower abdomen and let the weight of your legs dangle and stretch out your lower back for about 10 minutes. Putting ice on the lower back helps too. Sounds like you put that area through a workout and the muscles are a little tight.
