i know for myself that eating out is a hard thing to do.
but I have found out some really good things. Ask any waitress and she will tell you that it does not matter if you order a bowl or a cup of soup. They pretty much measure out the same. Difference: the price. So opt for the cup. Grinders. Order a large grinder and take home half and put in fridge for later on in the day. Ask and see if you can order a childs plate. Before ordering, take a look around and see if you can get a look at the portion size of plates being served and eaten. One trick to this is ordering out. simply ask for a child size meal. they have no idea if it is for a child or not. You more than likely will not be refused or charged for an adult size.

Any time I eat out, when my meal comes I ask for a to go box right away. Then put half in box before I start eating, then I do not go overboard and I have lunch the next day. I do this with fajitas, spaghetti, steak any restaurant meal.

I either do that or my daughter and I share a dish. Cheaper that way too. and then we will add a side salad to split. Always thinking when you are type 2 diabetic. LOL
