Hello! I'm thirteen and also new here, although I've been a diabetic since I was 1, so it's nothing new to me. Let me know if you ever need to talk, I know it's hard to find other people around our age!

Welcome, Sportslover.

Thanks for joining us here. My son was diagnosed at 8 years old. He's now in college and doing well.

Let me know if you have any questions.

I have been a member before, and I know everyone is nice. So, thank you Rachel. I do need some advice on where to go to help my son, who doesn't have insurance and was just diagnosed with type 2 diabetes. On who could help him get his medical supplies he needs for his diabetes. He takes two different insulins, one twice a day and the other four times a day.

Thank you,
Grandma Jackie

Bless your heart! So glad to see you here. Looks like you are confronting this issue head on. I am type 2 but there are a lot of Type 1 who can relate to your feelings. We are all different. What works for one may not work for all. Never take what you hear on this forum as absolute truth. We are not doctors. Before you make any changes ALWAYS run it by your doctor First. Please continue to research your problem and reach out to others.
