I was recently diagnosed as having "Fasting Glucose Intolerance" - basically pre/borderline diabetic. I also have a history of Kidney Stones so I have to have a low oxalate diet & keep my protein levels low. In addition, I have diverticulosis & IBD, so I have to be careful what I eat to not irritate my intestines. I found out that my terrible insurance will most likely not cover any dietician visits to try to help me find a good diet to keep all of these issues under control. As a single mom, I don't have the money to be able to go to the dietician without my insurance paying in part.
Does anyone have any suggestions for free or low cost resources to help someone with many dietary issues?
