Dr. says I should take an ace inhibiter called Ramipril, checked out that site someone talked about yesterday on drug interactions. Now I will not be taking that drug, does anyone know of a holistic way to get protein out of the kidneys.

jaclyn; I saw my Dr. today and she said that Ramipril in the proper dosage does help your kidneys. She was very specific as to the proper dosage because I do have some kidney damage and ace inhibitors are the meds for it. Hope this helps.

thanks Jacklyn; I have been taking Ramipril now for about a year for protein in my urine. I just followed the link and didn't like what I read there. I already have a little kidney damage and this drug can cause more?? Then why the heck am I on it. Definitely something I will be asking my Dr. next week. Scary!!!

I don't know much about answering the question that you asked, but today I was messing around on the "Everyday Health" site and saw this question and answer article concerning what you were asking about. I am going to give you the link. Hope it helps. There might be other things on that site if you do a search there.

thank you for the link, I am going to be doing a 24hr collection, there is no infection present so it could also be something to do with my lupus. jackie
