I have had a "Come to Jesus Meeting" with myself about my diabetes. After 10 years, I realized that I need to take care of myself. So here's the deal, my parents say if my BS goes over 200, I owe them 5$ And every time I miss a BS I owe them 5$. So far since Saturday (4 days) my sugar has not gone up over 200. What advice can I get about keeping my sugar under 200 and remembering to check my BS… (: thanks XOXOXO

Hey TJ,

What a great idea. Nothing like building in some accountability to help keep yourself on track. And no better incentive than a penalty that takes a hit on your pocketbook!

Hi Taylor, keep up the good work! I have always been told it takes two weeks to create a habit. Try really hard to check bs on time the next two weeks and see if it becomes normal after then.

Good habits take time to build, it took me 15-20 years. So, ask your parents about the positive reinforcement. Where's your 5 bucks for keeping lt like below 150?
